If you can believe it, Ella & I have been doing this for ten years. Ten years of the privilege of being a part of other people's special moments... ten years of the daily routine. Ten years bursting with lessons from well-deserved successes and some spectacular failures.

Sometimes in the midst of work, what makes it worthwhile can start to blur around the edges and you can forget that this is your life - meant to be punctuated with things that you love and enjoy.

We started to ask each other, "What do you LIKE to do?"

We LIKE making art, and we LIKE eating gourmet level baked goods, and we LIKE when those two goals are easily accomplished together.

We LIKE that there's an overwhelming surge of interest in cake art - where one may see an overly saturated baking industry, we also see a whole new world of people wanting to better their best.

We LIKE providing a platform brimming with techniques, skills, and consulting, ideas for these folks who also like what we like - for the joy of it.

This is why we started Michelangelo of Cakes Academy--a community of like-minded bakers, perfect for hobbyists who enjoy baking dalliances in their kitchen for family and friends, or for professionals who want to start their adventure into the bakery business.
