How are our classes going?

Well, let's chat.

My mother was a seamstress--not just doing casual sewing. She was a seamstress on steroids, teaching Home Economics and her students won state championships for their sewn garments.

She had an idea from one of her students winning a Viking sewing machine. She saw how much better it was built than the Singer sewing machines that continually broke down in the classroom, leaving students frustrated and taking all the fun out of sewing and creating!

Her business,"The Sew Inn,"was born. She taught classes to the public and sold high-end fabrics and sewing machines. She was proud of the quality of her products. What was her reasoning for better fabrics and machines?

"If you're going to go to all the work of sewing a garment, you want it to last...and you don't want to continually fight with a machine that breaks down."

I recently connected the dots about our cake classes and why we teach exclusive recipes and custom design cakes.

"If you're going to go to all the work-time & effort making and baking-it should be both delicious and beautiful in the end."

You can buy a cheaper made cake & cupcakes and the expectations are what they are.

The frosting comes out of a premade tub. The cake often comes out premade & frozen.

But there is an awesome feeling when you bake something that's simply delicious and uniquely beautiful.

In our classes, we want to bring back the fun of creating beautiful, delicious masterpieces and have fun doing it by learning the right techniques and the right process that takes the frustration out of it and brings back the joy!

We love seeing newbie cakers leaving our classes proud of their cake art, all while learning about the quality of cakes, frostings, and fillings.

"If you're going to make a cake, it should be FUN to make and a spectacular masterpiece in the end!"

We welcome you to attend our in house classes - publc classes, private group classes, or our newest Master Class. You will love the masterpiece you create ---- and eat!
